A Teacher is one who lights the Lamp of Knowledge in the mind by removing the Darkness
Teachers are the most influential people besides our parents. They are our second parent outside our house. It is the teacher who teaches the importance of loving and caring friends and helping and sharing things with them.
The best days in everyone’s life are the days of childhood especially the school life. And school life is incomplete without teachers. Everybody has a favorite teacher in his life that had influenced in one or the other way. I also want to describe some memories of my school life which is related with one of my favorite teacher.
The person I want to describe about is Mr. Bhaskaran Nair/ Bhaskaran sir as we called him. He was our language teacher at high school. I did my schooling in Anita Vidyalaya an English medium school. Bhaskaran Sir was our English and Hindi teacher. His unique teaching style attracted all the students and they eagerly waited for his class. Those subjects who used to be boring earlier have become exciting now. It was really a fun way to learn as he narrated stories and little jokes along with his teaching. Apart from the bookish knowledge he used to share his experiences with us. He imparted a great knowledge about life beyond the knowledge in the book.
Although Sir was also an irascible person/ quick-tempered person, after a while he used to cool down. It happens only when we children do some mischief. His scolding and small punishments never disappointed us. As I knew that it was all a lesson for us to make us better human being. He was strict at the same time lenient too.
I don’t know exactly what but there was something in him which made him different from others. He treated children not merely a student, but as friends. I am sure that no student will ever forget him in their life. It is said that the wealth of a teacher is his students and great teachers like you are prosperous. I am very lucky to have a teacher like you my school life. These school memories will never fade from my mind.
I myself is a teacher and many of his qualities are my inspiration today. I pray to god that he always be healthy and happy.
